Last updated November 19, 2020
Office of admissions update:
Due to new COVID-19 guidelines issued by the State of Utah, the following changes will be in effect with the Office of Admissions until further notice.
- All in-person campus tours have been canceled.
- The Welcome Center, located in the Gardner Commons Building, will be closed to foot traffic.
- The Operations Area, located in the Student Services Building, will remain open to the public with limited staffing for receipt of physical admission related documents.
During this time, the Office of Admissions will remain open and accessible via phone at 801.581.8761 and email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Future students are encouraged to connect with their admissions counselor, who can be found at https://admissions.utah.edu/meet-your-counselors/. Additionally, we will continue to host virtual events, which you can find here.
We will continue to monitor the situation and any new updates will be posted here.
New Admissions criteria:
The University of Utah is Test Optional for freshman applications for Fall 2021 admission. ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission, merit scholarships (including department scholarships), or direct admission programs (including Engineering). Freshman applications to the University of Utah for Fall 2021 will be evaluated using a holistic review process that takes into consideration factors such as a student’s high school GPA, course rigor, etc. To find out more click here.
Although we were hoping to see you on campus, due to concerns regarding COVID-19, we have moved all our events online. You can find our virtual event schedule here.
