Why did you decide to
work at the U of U:

The first time I walked on campus saw the mountains, trees, and beautiful buildings and met some staff members, I thought to myself, 'I can dig this!' I was lucky enough to be welcomed to the U's family and have loved every minute of it so far.

Best part of your job:

Never having the same day twice. One day I'm on the road to new high schools, the next I am at the U working with students.

If I didn't work in recruitment, I'd be...

Running a food van that serves cupcakes and coffee only. Look out for the 'Babycakes' van in the far future!

Why you decided to work
in student recruitment:

To help students in every way on the journey after high school. Maybe that path will lead them to the U, maybe not but I am their guide for anything after their senior year.

Most likely to be found
hanging out on campus:

President's Circle, it was my first glimpse at the U's campus and I love the open grass where you can study or relax.

Tips for college success:

Study Abroad if you can, or go on a National Student Exchange. Both of my abroad trips are some of my best memories. You gain so much perspective by changing your surroundings for even a few weeks.

Most memorable college class:

Intro into Classical Mythology. This class helped me discover my major; I took it almost at random for a filler credit and found my passion. After the third session I talked to the professor and changed my major that day!

Quote you live by:

"That which we do for ourselves, dies with us. That which we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."
