When did you start working for the Office of Admissions:

Southern Utah University

September 2014

Why did you decide to work at the U of U:

The opportunity to represent Utah's flagship university was something I couldn't pass up. There is a lot available to students here: research opportunities, numerous majors, over 500 clubs and organizations, and of course being part of the PAC-12 conference. I wanted to be part of an institution that had so much opportunity for students to flourish and I believe that the U offers those opportunities.

Best part of your job:

Getting to associate with high school students and helping them open the door of opportunity through higher education.

If I didn't work in recruitment, I'd be...

...working at a running specialty store, scoring free shoes and training for races. All. The. Time.

Favorite Ute moment/memory:

Seeing the Utes beat Pitt at the 2010 pre-season opener!

Tips for college success:

GET INVOLVED! This will make your college experience more enjoyable. You won't remember how many tests you took but you will remember the experiences you had with your friends and the common experiences you shared. Get involved with clubs, organizations, and other groups and let the memory making begin!
